Most of the dentists request us to have a look at every part of their local presence and want us to figure out what went wrong and how can we fix it? They also want us to create opportunities so that the dental clinic can be benefited. That’s what we call Local Dental SEO Audit. After doing quite a few audits we found a pattern, Here is the list of problems that a very popular among dental clinics digital presence:
1) Specific Page for every Service Offering:
Most of the clinics do not have a detailed page for their service offering neither for products nor for treatments. If you want a particular set of services or treatment procedure to rank among the top then you need to have a detailed page for that particular service offering and most of us fail to do that. We have one single page where all the services are pulverized together causing enough damage to the offering.
2) Backlinks:
Dental Websites that we Audit had very few or almost no Backlinks. (What are backlinks – External links or links on other websites that direct traffic to your website). Your website must have backlinks form websites that are either relevant to your professional service offering or your location, either of them or both of them will do. You have to be cautious to avoid spammers.
3) Reviews:
Most of the Dental Clinic don’t ask their patient’s to review them, or they are out of practice, Ranking without reviews can be worthless. You have to start asking your patient’s to start rating you starting with Google & Facebook page.
4) Information:
Inconsistent Information on a local listing website can also hurt your online presence. Here we are talking about your clinic name, Address, Contact Number, Timings, and Url. They should be very consistent on different site like Practo, Sulekha, Yellow Pager, Just Dial and so on.
5) Duplicate Content:
More that 55% of the website we have found duplicate content. Google defines duplicate content as “substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely matches other content or are appreciably similar.” Most of the content on Dental websites is either copied from American Dental Association or European Dental Association, by having duplicate content your website will lose the capability to pick the landing page appropriately.
6) Title Tag:
Lousy Tittle tags on the home page or the landing page can affect your reputation, few Dental Websites have too many keywords written all over the place in such an abusive manner that it turns off the potential customers.
7) Contact Information:
Few of the dental websites we have run an audit does not have contact information on few of their pages, every page needs to have a contact info such as Name of the Dentist, Contact number, complete address. It helps in local Dental SEO
